Vincentric Best Value in America Award

The 2015 Ford Mustang is continuing its hot streak. Since the Mustang went on sale in September, Ford’s iconic pony car has been raking in industry awards right and left. Now, the 2015 Mustang has earned yet another trophy to add to its trophy shelf—the Vincentric Best Value in America Award for the Sports Car segment.

This is the sixth year in a row the ‘Stang has earned this honor from Vincentric, showing that the pony car isn’t just a powerhouse—it’s also value-oriented. To determine the winner of the Best Value in America awards, Vincentric analyzed each vehicle’s cost of ownership, including insurance, financing, maintenance, and depreciation.

Along with this new award, the 2015 Ford Mustang has also earned recognition as the Detroit Free Press Car of the Year, Cars.com Shoppers’ Choice Award, Kiplinger’s Best New/Redesign Car, and many other accolades. For a full list of the Mustang’s awards, click here.

Subaru WRX STI Makes 2015 Hagerty Hot List

2015 Hagerty Hot ListLimited edition cars have always been rarer than their mass produced counterparts so it isn’t a surprise it’s those models that make it onto the 2015 Hagerty Hot List. The collector car experts over at Hagerty release an annual list naming what vehicles are most likely to be collectibles in 25 years.

To qualify, vehicles must be produced in the current year, cost less than $100,000, and special consideration goes to new launches not already on previous lists.

This year Subaru made its way onto the list, which also included the Dodge Challenger Hellcat (#5), Mustang GT Performance Package (#6), and Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (#4). The Subaru WRX STI Launch Edition took the number nine spot. Starting at $38,190, it’s one of the less expensive models but according to the experts, it packs a punch.

Hagerty’s reasons for selecting the Subaru WRX STI Launch Edition are what we would expect. With a turbocharged Boxer four cylinder engine, advanced suspension, and a stiff body, the STI is very similar to a rally car. The acceleration is more than enough to give any enthusiast’s heart a jumpstart and, as a limited Launch Edition, there’s no doubt collectors will want this car for their collections within the next 25 years.
