What’s stronger than a wicked October nor’easter? Hassett of Wantagh! 

Dozens of visitors braved brutal weather conditions Oct. 15 to attend Hassett’s version of A Star-Studded Evening, a nationwide Lincoln sales extravaganza that officially welcomed the 2010 MKZ and MKS sedans and the all-new, all-hot Lincoln MKT. 

Hassett, Long Island’s No. 1 volume Ford/Lincoln/Mercury dealer, warmed its shivering guests with tremendous deals on some of the finest machines ever to grace American roads – particularly the 2010 MKT, a seven-passenger crossover featuring the ultimate combination of performance and fuel economy.

Soggy visitors were further rewarded with free food and drink; laughs and great tunes provided by D.J. Steve Harper and the WKJY Radio crew; and no-purchase-necessary entry into the coast-to-coast Star-Studded Sweepstakes, with a grand-prize package including a state-of-the-art Blu-ray player and a stunning 65-inch plasma screen.

Door prizes for the strong, weatherproof visitors included a brand-new iPod Touch.

Hassett Automotive General Manager Lou Evans said the dealership was “really happy with the Star-Studded Evening event,” especially considering the dreadful weather. 

“Despite terrible conditions, people came out to see these great new products and they weren’t disappointed,” Lou said. “We had a great mix of familiar faces – previous customers who came out to see these all-new Lincoln products – and new friends who were drawn to Hassett for the first time by a Star-Studded Evening.” 

The MKT, Lou added, is “a fresh offering by Lincoln to fill a new market segment – the luxury crossover – and it’s a winner.”
